CSBM 2025 | 2025 China Biomaterials Congress Opens in Shaoxing

On the morning of October 10, 2025, the 2025 China Biomaterials Congress grandly opened at the Shaoxing International Convention Center in Zhejiang Province. The congress is organized by the Chinese Society for Biomaterials (CSBM), hosted by the Zhejiang University Shaoxing Research Institute, and co-organized by the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University, the Zhejiang Provincial Modern Textile Innovation Center, the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, and the Shanghai University Shaoxing Research Institute.

The 2025 China Biomaterials Congress runs for four days, bringing together more than ten Chinese and international academicians and over 3,000 representatives from academia and industry. The program includes an opening ceremony and a closing ceremony, as well as six plenary lectures, 162 thematic sessions, 11 forums/symposia (including CSBM-SFB, CSBM-JSB, and CSBM-KSBM international symposia), poster presentations, corporate satellite symposia, and recruitment sessions. The congress provides a platform for experts, regulators, and entrepreneurs in biomaterials and medical device research in China to build connections, create opportunities, and advance collaboration.

During the congress, the final competition of the 1st CSBM National Student Innovation Design Contest on Biomaterials will also be held. Under the theme "Gathering, Consensus, Creation", the contest aims to provide a platform for university students majoring in biomaterials and related fields, stimulating their research capabilities, unlocking their professional potential, enhancing their innovation vitality, cultivating high‑level talents, and further promoting the development of biomaterials science in China.
