Warm Congratulations! Academician Zhao Yuliang, President of CSBM, Receives Inaugural "JNB Global Impact Award"
To recognize leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the global field of nanobiotechnology, the Journal of Nanobiotechnology (JNB) established the "Global Impact Award" in 2025.
Academician Yuliang Zhao – Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Member of the Advisory Committee of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Dean of the Institute of Nanomanufacturing Intelligence at Jinan University, and President of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials (CSBM) – has been honored with the inaugural "JNB Global Impact Award" in Nanobiotechnology.
Academician Yuliang Zhao is a pioneer in the field of nanotoxicology and a co‑discoverer of element 113 (Nihonium) on the periodic table. He founded the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area National Nanotechnology Innovation Institute (Guangdong Nano Institute), a platform for translating Chinese nanotechnology achievements into industrial applications, and has been a driving force in the commercialization of scientific and technological innovations in China.
